Reedley College offers a wide variety of programs and services to
help you transfer to the four-year institution of your choice. Here
are a few of the services available through the Transfer Center.
Transfer Achievement Program
The Transfer Achievement Program (TAP) is a shared responsibility
between you, the student, and college services. The college services
provided by Reedley College and the cooperating four-year institution
are outlined in a "map," or guide for each student.
The student may begin his program by meeting with the Transfer Center
Coordinator to discuss their personal Transfer Task Invention (TTI)
Important transfer activities are explained and a sequential map
is outlined. Remember, the more you invest in time and effort, the
greater the potential for your transfer success!
Visits from University and College
Reps
You may talk with our on-campus admission representative from UC
Davis, Fresno Pacific College, Chapman College, National University
and CSU Fresno. Representatives from other universities and colleges
also visit the center throughout the year. These visits are regularly
announced in the campus bulletin and are advertised in our monthly
Transfer Center Calendar.
Counselors
At the Transfer Center we work closely with your college counselor,
who will help you plan your academic, career and personal goals.
Before beginning your transfer planning, be sure to discuss your
plans and goals with your counselor.
Faculty Advisors
Many faculty and staff act as advisors and provide you with encouragement
and support. At the Center, ask about the advisor services our campus
provides. We will be happy to refer you to an appropriate advisor.
Financial Aid
Are you afraid that you won't be able to transfer to a four-year
institution because you lack funds? The Transfer Center can clarify
actual college costs and provide you with a financial estimate of
what you'll need to finish school.
We know that financial aid can be a confusing process. That's why
the Transfer Center sponsors workshops throughout the year to help
you apply for scholarships, grants and loans. University representatives,
grants and loans. University representatives from UCD and CSUF also
present special programs on admission.
Resources
How do you choose a major? Which schools offer your major? How do
you get into a competitive university? In the Transfer Center you'll
find resources to answer these and most other questions you may
have about the transfer process, including:
