Care Program | Care Eligiblity

To be eligible for CARE, a Student must first meet all of the OASIS requirement and the following criteria below: 

1. currently receive cash assistance from CalWorks / TANF 
2. have at least one child under the age of fourteen at the time of admission into the CARE Program
3. be at least 18 years old
4. be a single head of household and determined to lack marketable employment skills. 

OASIS Eligibility
OASIS (EOPS) is state funded program.  It is one of the EOP&S programs within the community college state system.  Primarily, the OASIS Program provides eligible students with support services to assist them in accomplishing their educational goal. Eligibility for OASIS is based on household size, income reported for previous calendar year and full time enrollment.  Additionally the following criteria must be met: 

California residency
Completed Financial Aid file
Qualify to receive Board of 
Governors Waiver BOGW A or B

And

Students with three (3) or more semesters of college experience and/or who have completed more than forty five college credits will be required to see the director before being accepted into the OASIS/CARE program.
