Since its inception, the OASIS program has celebrated inclusiveness, recognizing the diversity of the college community. Participants in the OASIS Program reflect all groups of students. Additionally, we recognized the contribution of all our students. Currently, we scheduled activities around Mexican Independence Day on September 15 and 16, Black history Month in February, and Cinco de Mayo Week during the first week of May. We are anticipating having a multicultural week to promote our "salad bowl" campus. The OASIS program has funded several activities including the formation of an OASIS Club Folkloric Dance Group, Graduation reception featuring authentic food and Mariachi, the sponsorship of Literary author, poet Lawson Inada, Fresno native and professor at Southern Oregon University and performances by Teatro Cucaracha.
